Some notes when driving and pressing piles

Pile driving and pile pressing both have their own advantages and disadvantages, suitable for different project characteristics, so it is impossible to absolutely compare which method is more effective.

However, no matter which form you apply, you need to pay attention to the following issues:

Geological and ground survey:

• To find the most suitable form of pile pressing: If the construction area is sandy soil, you should use the continuous pressing method to avoid the sand from consolidating. The construction area on the ground has two layers, the first layer is easy to apply and the next layer is load-bearing, so you should use the one-circuit pressing method until the maximum pressure is reached, then stop to achieve the best results. . 
• To ensure the pile driving surface must be flat, without subsidence: Only then can the machinery be placed and the pile lowered straight without breaking. 
• Determine pile coordinates more accurately, avoiding errors.

Pile driving construction process:

• Shoot the pile center position on the ground to determine the correct pile pressing position. You should use steel to mark these positions.
• When moving the machine into the pile pressing position, you should check it again with a total station. After that, lower the pile until the pile head emerges from the ground about 60-80 degrees, then weld the pile, then continue pressing and connecting to the depth as per the design. 
• Carefully check the technical requirements of the weld seam, including length, weld design height and a few other factors.
